claude-automation-recommender is a Claude Code skill that analyzes a codebase and recommends tailored automations — hooks, subagents, skills, plugins, and MCP servers — based on actual project signals. It operates in read-only mode, using Read, Glob, Grep, and Bash to gather context such as language, framework, dependencies, test setup, CI/CD configuration, and external APIs; it never creates or modifies files. To avoid overwhelming the user, it surfaces the top 1–2 most valuable recommendations per category, though it can expand to 3–5 if a specific type is requested. It's aimed at developers setting up Claude Code for the first time or looking to optimize an existing workflow.
