competitive-analysis-process is a Claude Code skill that orchestrates a complete competitive analysis across six analytical steps — landscape overview, product comparison, customer-need fulfillment, business baseline, perception and positioning, and strategic direction — each grounded in named frameworks and delegated to the appropriate investigation skill. The skill acts as the umbrella workflow, holding the sequence and decision points while sub-skills do the research mechanics; referenced frameworks include Porter's Five Forces, Kano, Jobs-to-be-Done, Business Model Canvas, and Ries & Trout positioning. Each working session runs 20–45 minutes, with the full engagement spanning one to two calendar weeks. The four output artifacts — battle cards, comparison matrices, positioning counter-moves, and threat assessments — are what sales teams, executives, and roadmap owners actually consume. It suits strategy cycles, pricing decisions, positioning refreshes, and market entry analysis.
