exa-search is a Claude Code skill that performs AI-powered web search via the Exa API with built-in content extraction. It covers blogs, documentation, news, company sites, and research papers — sources beyond academic databases like arXiv or Semantic Scholar. Results can be filtered by category (news, research paper, company, etc.), date range, and domain, and content can be returned as highlights, full text (up to 8,000 characters), or LLM-generated summaries. A find-similar mode locates pages related to a given URL, and get-contents fetches full text for known URLs directly. The skill requires the exa-py Python package and an API key from exa.ai; the helper script exa_search.py is resolved automatically via the ARIS installation contract.
