figure-description is a Claude Code skill that processes user-provided patent figures and generates formal drawing descriptions with reference numerals. It reads image files (PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF), identifies visually distinct components and their relationships, and assigns reference numerals following a series convention: 100–199 for FIG. 1, 200–299 for FIG. 2, and so on. Both Chinese (附图说明) and English formats are supported, covering CN, US, and EP patent jurisdictions. The skill produces two output files — `figure_descriptions.md` with one formal sentence per figure, and `numeral_index.md` mapping every numeral to its component, figure, and corresponding claim element. Any claim element lacking a figure or numeral is explicitly flagged as missing. It's designed for patent attorneys and engineers who need to prepare the Brief Description of Drawings section accurately and efficiently.
