financial-statements is a Claude Code skill that generates financial statements — income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow — with multi-column period-over-period comparison and variance analysis. It accepts a period-type argument (monthly, quarterly, annual, or ytd) and the target period, then pulls trial balance or income statement data from a connected ERP or data warehouse, or prompts the user to paste or upload the data manually. Dollar and percentage variances are calculated against both prior periods and budget, with material variances flagged according to configurable thresholds; GAAP presentation requirements (ASC 220/210/230) and common period-end adjustments are included as built-in reference material. The skill is designed for month- and quarter-end close, actuals-vs-budget analysis, and building financial summaries for leadership review.
