glycoengineering is a Claude Code skill that analyzes and engineers protein glycosylation patterns for biopharmaceutical and vaccine research. It scans amino acid sequences for N-glycosylation sequons (N-X-[S/T], X ≠ Proline), predicts O-glycosylation hotspots via local S/T-density heuristics, and provides access to curated tools including NetOGlyc, GlycoShield, and GlycoWorkbench. Built-in Python functions let users identify, eliminate (Asn→Gln substitution), or introduce glycosylation sites directly in a sequence. Version 1.1, authored by Kuan-lin Huang, is aimed at antibody engineers optimizing Fc glycosylation for ADCC or CDC, vaccine designers building glycan shields to focus immune responses on conserved epitopes, and researchers characterizing biosimilar glycan profiles or improving therapeutic protein half-life and stability.
