idea-discovery is a Claude Code skill that runs a complete research idea discovery pipeline, taking a broad direction and producing validated, experiment-ready proposals. It chains five sub-skills in sequence: /research-lit for literature survey, /idea-creator for brainstorming, /novelty-check for verifying originality, /research-review for critical feedback, and /research-refine-pipeline for method refinement and experiment planning. The pipeline produces three artifacts: idea-stage/IDEA_REPORT.md with ranked ideas, refine-logs/FINAL_PROPOSAL.md, and refine-logs/EXPERIMENT_PLAN.md for the top idea. GPU usage is capped at 8 total hours with up to 3 parallel pilots and a 3-hour hard timeout per run. The skill supports resumable execution via a deterministic evidence gate, optional arXiv PDF downloads, HTML rendering of the final report, and a REF_PAPER parameter to ground ideation in a specific paper.
