json-canvas is a Claude Code skill that creates and edits JSON Canvas files (.canvas) with nodes, edges, groups, and connections following the JSON Canvas Spec 1.0 — the open format used in Obsidian and compatible applications for infinite-canvas layouts. It supports four node types: text nodes with Markdown content, file nodes referencing attachments and notes, link nodes displaying external URLs, and group nodes acting as visual containers with optional background images. Edges connect any two nodes with configurable connection sides, endpoint shapes (arrow or none), labels, and color coding. The skill is built for anyone constructing mind maps, flowcharts, or knowledge graphs as .canvas files inside Obsidian directly through Claude Code.
