mode-creator is a Claude Code skill that interactively creates, installs, activates, and verifies custom claude-mem modes with domain-specific observation types, concept tags, and optional Telegram alerts. It runs a structured interview—first learning what the user actually works on, then proposing a taxonomy of 4–8 observation types and 4–8 concept tags, waiting for approval before writing anything to disk. Once the taxonomy is confirmed, it installs the mode file under the claude-mem data directory's modes/ folder, restarts the worker, and checks that the active mode appears in startup context. Telegram notifications can be configured for selected types or tags, with the bot token kept out of chat and logs at all times. Requires a local claude-mem worker, Node.js 20+, filesystem access, and an interactive question tool; Telegram setup additionally needs network access.
