nasa-risk is a Claude Code skill that provides a structured knowledge base derived from the NASA Risk Management Handbook (NASA/SP-2011-3422) for managing risk in space and safety-critical programmes. It covers two integrated processes: RIDM (Risk-Informed Decision Making) — alternative identification via objectives hierarchies, risk-normalised performance commitments, and Risk-Informed Selection Reports — and CRM (Continuous Risk Management), with its six steps: Identify, Analyze, Plan, Track, Control, and Communicate & Document. Available content includes chapters on Risk Scenario Diagrams, the six risk disposition types (Accept, Mitigate, Watch, Research, Elevate, Close), burn-down schedules, individual risk statement format, and NPR 8000.4A compliance, supported by glossary.md, patterns.md, and cheatsheet.md. The skill is aimed at programme managers, systems engineers, and risk analysts writing or reviewing Risk Management Plans, Technical Basis for Deliberation documents, or any artefact subject to NASA risk governance.
