obsidian-cli is a Claude Code skill that controls a running Obsidian application from the terminal via its built-in CLI. The agent can open notes in the Obsidian UI, append or prepend content to daily notes, create notes from templates, update frontmatter with `obsidian property:set`, check backlinks, orphans, and unresolved links, query Bases, and execute Obsidian commands — all actions unavailable through standard file tools. It complements Read/Write/Edit, Grep, and Neo4j rather than replacing them: direct file manipulation stays with file tools, while the CLI handles app-specific interactions like opening the UI or querying the graph. Requires Obsidian 1.12+ with a Catalyst license and CLI registered in Settings.
