open-design is a Claude Code skill that connects to Open Design — an open-source alternative to Claude Design delivered as a native desktop app for macOS and Windows. The platform is built around a filesystem of composable skills, rendering templates, brand-grade `DESIGN.md` design systems, and plugins: the agent reads the design contract and streams prototypes for web, desktop, and mobile, live dashboards, decks, images, and HyperFrames motion graphics, with export to HTML, PDF, PPTX, and MP4. It runs on Claude Code, DeepSeek Harness, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Qwen, Amp, and 26 other local CLI executables, plus any OpenAI-compatible endpoint via BYOK.
