Solcast is a Claude Code skill that connects Claude Code to Solcast, the solar irradiance and weather data platform used by solar developers, grid operators, and researchers. It provides access to Sites (including Rooftop Insights), Radiation Forecasts, Power Forecasts, Energy Estimates, Historical Data, and Live Data through the Membrane CLI, which handles authentication and credential refresh automatically. When built-in actions don't cover a specific use case, the skill can proxy requests directly to the Solcast API, automatically injecting the correct auth headers and base URL. This makes it straightforward to integrate solar forecasting data into energy projects or automate data retrieval without dealing with auth plumbing. A Membrane account (free tier supported) and network access are required.
