Sterlingbackcheck is a Claude Code skill that connects Claude to SterlingBackcheck, a background check and screening service used by employers to verify candidate credentials and history. Using the Membrane CLI, it covers core objects — Candidate, Report, Task, and User — with authentication and credential refresh handled automatically, so integration logic stays front and center. When built-in actions fall short, requests can be proxied directly to the SterlingBackcheck API with auth headers injected transparently. The skill is a good fit for automating employee screening workflows, retrieving check statuses, and managing candidate records programmatically.
