structure-nanotube is a Claude Code skill that generates nanotubes from 2D sheets using chiral indices (n, m), supporting carbon nanotubes (CNT), boron nitride nanotubes (BNNT), MoS2/WS2, and any 2D material loaded in the structure viewer. Before building, catgo_nanotube_info returns diameter, chiral angle, translational vector length, and estimated atom count — essential for avoiding oversized structures when n exceeds 30. The catgo_nanotube_build tool then constructs the tube at a specified length in Angstroms, with material-appropriate bond lengths (1.42 Å for graphene, 1.45 Å for BN, 2.42 Å for MoS2). A complete workflow covers viewer verification and DFT geometry optimization via VASP. Multi-walled nanotubes are supported with a default inter-wall spacing of ~3.4 Å, making the skill suitable for nanoelectronics, catalysis, and chirality-dependent electronic property calculations.
