write-a-skill is a Claude Code skill that guides you through creating new agent skills with proper structure, progressive disclosure, and bundled resources. It is part of the mattpocock/skills collection, installable via the Claude Code plugin marketplace or `npx skills@latest add mattpocock/skills`. The skill is aimed at platform teams and individual developers who maintain an internal skill library and want consistent authoring standards across every new tool they add. It is the right starting point whenever you need to scaffold, document, and ship a new agent skill that follows the same conventions as the rest of the set.
