AlterSend — P2P-передача файлов без облака

★ 1.6K

altersend is an open-source tool for direct P2P file transfer between devices — no cloud storage, no accounts, no size limits. Reach for it when you need to send a huge file straight to someone: a 100 GB video, a database dump, or a project archive that won't fit in an email attachment and that you'd rather not upload to WeTransfer, Dropbox, or Google Drive; or when the data simply cannot touch a third-party server. Connections are established via Hyperswarm DHT with automatic NAT traversal, and files travel end-to-end encrypted between devices — nothing is stored on any intermediate server. When a direct path isn't available, an encrypted relay forwards bytes it cannot read. Recipients open a share link at app.altersend.com in any browser — no install required on their end. Supported platforms: macOS, Windows, Linux (AppImage, Flatpak, AUR), iOS, and Android; install via Homebrew, Microsoft Store, Google Play, or the App Store. The project is written in JavaScript/Node.js under the Apache-2.0 license. The direction is outbound file sending, not folder sync — for continuous sync, look at Syncthing instead. Both devices must be online at the same time; altersend is not a persistent
