AndroidMic is a utility that turns an Android phone into a microphone for your computer: audio from the phone is streamed to the PC and fed into the system as a regular mic input. Reach for it when you don't have a decent microphone on hand but you do have a phone: for calls, streams, or voice recording you can use the smartphone's mic instead of buying a separate device. It is cross-platform (Linux, Windows, macOS), connects over Wi-Fi (TCP/UDP), USB Serial, or USB ADB, and offers noise cancellation, waveform visualization, and configurable sample rate, channels, and bit depth. An important requirement: for the audio to appear as a microphone in the system you need a virtual audio cable device.
