CodiMD is a self-hosted Markdown editor for real-time collaboration: several people edit one document at once, seeing each other's changes. Reach for it when a team needs collaborative notes and documents on its own server to own the data: keep meeting notes, drafts, technical documentation, and wikis in Markdown, share a link, and write together. It is the free-software version of HackMD with slightly reduced features (no book mode), self-hosts, and keeps data under your control. Its focus is a real-time collaborative Markdown editor on your own hosting, not docs-as-code with Git (Gramax for that) or an enterprise wiki with a database (Documize): the value is quick simultaneous co-editing of Markdown notes with privacy. It suits teams and communities that want their own HackMD/Google Docs equivalent for Markdown.
