Dify is an open-source platform for building applications powered by language models without writing code. Reach for it when you need a working product rather than an experiment: an assistant over company documents, a support bot, an enquiry handler, an internal tool for one department. You draw the flow on a canvas — steps, conditions, branches, model calls and calls to external services. Everything you would otherwise assemble yourself is already inside: document ingestion and retrieval, conversation storage, model and key management, cost tracking, and publishing the finished app as a link or an API. It works with both cloud and local models, and you host it yourself. It is a good middle ground between a builder for a non-technical colleague and full development; once the logic gets genuinely unusual, you still end up writing code.
