freqtrade is an open-source bot for automated cryptocurrency trading. It is used by people who want to trade a predefined strategy without sitting at charts by hand: you describe the buy and sell rules and the bot executes them itself around the clock. Its key feature is backtesting on historical data: before risking money, a strategy is run over the past market and its parameters optimised. It is controlled through Telegram and a web interface and supports many exchanges. Written in Python. An important and mandatory caveat: automated trading risks real financial loss; good results on history do not guarantee future profit, and a flaw in the strategy or a failure can cost dearly. The tool provides the technique but does not remove financial risk — start in a test mode and with small amounts.
