Handy is an open-source voice-input tool that runs locally on any system. Reach for it when typing is slow and speaking is faster: press a configured hotkey, speak, and the text appears instantly wherever the cursor is, in any application. Recognition runs offline on your own machine, so nothing goes to the cloud — suitable for work with sensitive content and for use without internet. Unlike the dictation built into an operating system, it works the same everywhere and is configurable. It goes one way — speech to text.
