Karakeep is an open-source service for saving everything you would rather not lose: bookmarks, notes, images and PDFs, with automatic AI processing of the content. Reach for it when useful links and materials accumulate but finding the right one later is impossible: on saving, Karakeep extracts the title, description and preview itself, recognises text in images and organises it all by meaning, so search works over content rather than just titles. Saved pages are archived whole, so they remain available even if the original is deleted. Deploy it on your own server and the data stays yours. The difference from browser bookmarks is the smart processing and full-text search across everything you have ever saved. It helps anyone who collects a lot of reference material for work and study.
