OpenClaude is an open-source command-line tool that gives you the familiar Claude Code workflow while letting you pick any model behind it — cloud or local. Reach for it when the interface and the way of working suit you but the model has to change: because of price, because everything must stay inside the company, or to compare several models on the same task. Commands, conversation structure and file handling stay the same; only what sits behind them changes. It also helps where a particular cloud provider is simply not available to you. It is a shell: output quality comes from the model you choose, while the tool handles the ergonomics of working with it.
