System Informer (formerly Process Hacker) is a free, powerful Windows tool that helps you monitor system resources, debug software, and detect malware. Reach for it when the built-in Task Manager falls short: to find which process is eating CPU, disk, or network, discover which program is holding a file you can't delete, see active network connections and close them, or inspect a suspicious process while hunting malware. It shows detailed system activity with highlighting, resource graphs, real-time disk access, detailed stack traces with kernel-mode, WOW64, and .NET support, and service control beyond services.msc.
