companion-simple is a Claude Code skill that adds a warm AI companion persona to OpenClaw using Zhipu AI's glm-4.7-flash model. It detects emotional cues in user messages — fatigue, waiting, requests for encouragement — and responds with short, friendly replies (1–2 sentences with emoji) generated via a Node.js script calling the Zhipu API at open.bigmodel.cn. Nine predefined scene contexts are supported: work-related (work-start, work-tired, work-done), lifestyle (life-coffee, life-gym, life-weekend), and emotional (mood-happy, mood-tired, mood-focus), with optional static image delivery from a local assets/ directory. Messages are dispatched through the OpenClaw CLI to Feishu, Discord, Telegram, and WhatsApp channels. The skill is a practical fit for developers building bots who want to layer in a human-feeling, context-aware conversational presence alongside task automation.
