freehire-search is a Claude Code skill that queries live tech job listings — software engineering, data science, ML, DevOps, and related roles — via the public JSON API of freehire.me, an aggregator that normalises postings from roughly 50 ATS platforms into a single schema. No API key or authentication is required, and the CLI runs with just bun and zero runtime dependencies. Faceted filters cover region, ISO-3166 country code, city, seniority level (junior through principal/lead), category, skills, recency, and work mode (remote, hybrid, onsite). Search results already include full job descriptions, so 20 listings load in a single request rather than requiring per-hit follow-ups. The base URL is configurable via the FREEHIRE_API_URL environment variable, pointing the skill at a self-hosted instance (Go + PostgreSQL + Meilisearch, one-command Docker Compose setup) with a single-line change.
