GitNexus is an MCP server and skill set for Claude Code that indexes a codebase into a knowledge graph of dependencies, call chains, clusters and execution flows. The agent gets a complete answer in one call, for example which functions break if you change this one, so it edits blind less often. It offers 19 tools: hybrid search, full symbol context, change impact analysis, shortest path between symbols, git diff analysis before a commit, coordinated multi-file rename, raw Cypher queries and an API route map. Installed skills cover code exploration, debugging, impact analysis, refactoring and review. Run npx gitnexus analyze in the repo root, then npx gitnexus setup to connect Claude Code, Cursor and others. You need Node.js; everything runs locally. A web UI is available for browsing the graph. The license is PolyForm Noncommercial, so commercial use needs a separate license.
