Game mod video trailer creation

Showcase Video teaches Claude Code to record and edit a short mod gameplay video — 20 to 45 seconds — ready to post on X or YouTube, either from a fresh capture or by compiling existing clips. Reach for it when you want a trailer for a new mod without touching a video editor manually, when you have several raw recordings and need them cut together with music and titles, or when you want a professional watermark and fade-out without a separate workflow. The toolchain runs three CLI commands: `um win record` captures only the target game window via ffmpeg gfxcapture (GPU frames, no desktop) and records audio exclusively from the game's PID via WASAPI process loopback; `um video contact` generates timestamped contact sheets so you can pick exact in/out points; `um video compile` edits from an EDL JSON supporting xfade transitions (fade, pixelize, slideleft, circleopen, zoomin, radial, and others), animated one-line titles, creator credits, watermark, background music, beat-synced cuts, per-clip speed and zoom, and a final fade-out. Stack: ffmpeg + Pillow, CLI-based, hardware encoding via NVENC/AMF/QSV when available. The skill produces a finished video file — it does not stream or capture screenshots. Works on Windows with DirectX-based games; not suitable for macOS or Linux environments.
