bagidea-office is an open-source tool that turns your desktop wallpaper into a living 2.5D AI-agent office built on Claude Code — agents walk to their desks, hold meetings, learn new skills, and accumulate shared memory behind your desktop icons. Reach for it when you want multiple AI agents to work as a coordinated team rather than one at a time; when you're tired of re-explaining context every session; when you need a live view of Claude Code sessions without a separate dashboard; or when you want agents to autonomously draft project proposals and bring them to you for approval. Built with TypeScript/Node.js, installs in one command via npx bagidea or a one-shot installer for Windows and macOS/Linux, MIT license. Under the hood: multi-agent coordination with distinct roles and models, a shared OFFICE.md knowledge log, per-agent automatic memory, a Security Center trust gate, and self-proposed plugins that go live only after you approve them. Gemini and OpenAI API keys are optional but unlock agent voices, voice commands, real-time calls, and image generation. The direction is team-level agent coordination and visualization, not a single-agent chat UI. Works best for anyone who already has Claude Code and wants a self-evolving multi-agent workspace; not suited for one-off tasks or without an active Claude Code subscription.
