Fooocus is an open-source image generator for your own machine, built to be as simple as possible: describe what you want and get a picture. Reach for it when you need visuals for ads, social media or illustrations and have neither the time nor the wish to learn model settings — samplers, steps, weights and the rest are chosen for you. It runs on Stable Diffusion XL, fully offline and free, with an interface inspired by Midjourney. Basic editing modes are included: repaint a selected area, extend the frame, or borrow style and composition from a reference image. It is a deliberate trade-off: you start in minutes with nothing to learn, but you get less fine-grained control than a node-based editor and cannot assemble a complex multi-step pipeline. A GPU is required; on weaker hardware it is slower but still runs.
