NotebookLlaMa is an open-source counterpart to Google NotebookLM: you upload your material and work with it — ask questions, get summaries and overviews, build connections between sources. Reach for it when you want a private NotebookLM: everything runs locally through Docker and processing can be pointed at your own models. Built on LlamaCloud with model and speech-synthesis integrations, it does both text summaries and spoken overviews. The practical point matches the original: quickly get to grips with a stack of documents, prepare from material, distil a summary — but on your side and without sending sources out. The difference from general assistants is that answers are built from your uploaded material. As always with AI overviews, the result is worth verifying against the sources.
