A First Sellable Piece of Work on the Evening After Payment

The subscription is set up, access is open, and this is exactly where most people stop. Not because it's hard, but because it's unclear what to do on the first evening. Below is one piece of work in your direction that you can do in an evening, show to a client and put a price on. Everything else starts with it.

In short, if you're pressed for time
The point of a subscription is not to generate a picture but to make work someone will pay for. In our survey, nobody has yet made AI their main income; this article is about the first step toward changing that.
One piece of work in your direction. Not three. Not "try everything".
The work must be sellable: it has a clear client and a market price.
It's done in an evening with what is already open on your plan.
After it comes a route: two hours a week until the first order.
The first evening after payment
You've paid for a plan. You open the platform: fourteen courses, sixteen mini-courses, two hundred assistants, tens of thousands of items in the catalogs.
And you start browsing.
This is the most expensive mistake after a purchase. Not because browsing is harmful, but because browsing replaces action. A week goes by in studying, and at the end there isn't a single thing to show.
A subscription that leaves you with no finished work feels like wasted money. Even if everything you need is inside.
Where this order comes from
I have taken more than one cohort through the training and have seen how the first month looks for those who get to money and those who don't. The difference isn't talent or time. The difference is whether there was one finished piece of work in the first week.
For those who got there, the first money most often came from images and visuals: Natalia, $85 for half an hour of work, after which she set the price of the service at $60 herself; Oksana, a first client for images at $180, before the middle of the course. These are students' stories, not a promise: they show the scale of a first step.
Why a first piece of work doesn't happen by itself
Root cause: there is no "done" criterion. While the work is practice, it can be improved forever. A sellable piece of work has a client, and the client defines what "done" means.
Misconception: "first I'll finish the course, then I'll start making things." A course takes weeks. A piece of work takes an evening. The order is the reverse: the work now, the course along the way, for whatever didn't work out.
Systemic factor: many sections, one track. Each person needs their own quarter of the platform. The other three quarters are noise on the first evening.
One piece of work, by track
Pick the row for your direction. Only one.

\* From the Parselona feed, 5,986 orders over 4 months. (Parselona is a Russian service that collects freelance orders from chats.) This is the market, not a promise: the upper end of the range is for someone who has already done such work. The median for a one-off job is about $60.
Three rules for the evening
Make it for a real business, not an invented one. The coffee shop across the street, a friend's dentist, a friend's shop. Work for a real business is both a portfolio piece and a ready reason to write to that business.
Finish it. A full set, not one picture. A text, not a "rough outline". A clip with sound.
Sign it honestly. Task, solution, time. No made-up client.
What to do after the evening
The work is ready. Next is not "the next piece of work" but a route to the first order.
The math from Sergey Molokov's live session: about twenty touches give five to seven replies, two or three calls and one client. People usually give up after two touches instead of twenty. Spread over a week, this route takes two hours; it's covered separately in the article МАРШРУТ (МАРШРУТ means "route").
And one more free tool in the bot: the button «💼 Кому и что продавать» ("Who to sell to and what"). You name a field and get a breakdown of what to sell in it, what to say to the client and a price guide.
What to do today
One evening, one piece of work.
Pick a row from the table. Pick a real business. Do the work in full. Sign it with three lines.
Show it to the consultant bot: it will suggest who to sell such work to and how much to ask. The best pieces go into the showcase of subscribers' first works.
