honcho is a Claude Code skill that helps configure and troubleshoot Honcho, the AI-native cross-session user modeling system for Hermes agents. It covers cloud setup via app.honcho.dev and self-hosted deployment, peer and observation configuration, session scoping strategies (per-directory, per-repo, global), and tuning three orthogonal dialectic knobs: cadence, depth, and recall mode. Honcho automatically chooses between cold-start and warm-start prompt strategies, assembling a context block from the session summary, user representation, and AI peer card. Each Hermes profile gets its own AI peer, enabling independent agent views while maintaining a unified user model — useful for multi-profile setups where long-term personalized memory and token budget control are priorities.
