Marketing Psychology and Mental Models

marketing

Marketing Psychology and Mental Models is a Claude Code skill that explains to marketers and product teams why people buy and matches psychological principles to a specific task. Use it to lift conversion on a pricing page, write copy grounded in behavioral science and cognitive biases, use scarcity honestly, or shape onboarding. It rests on a reference of about seventy models in six groups: foundational thinking (first principles, Jobs to Be Done), buyer behavior, influence and persuasion (anchoring, loss aversion, reciprocity), pricing psychology, design and delivery (Hick's law, the Fogg model) and growth models. Each has a short explanation and a marketing use; a quick table maps problems like low conversion, price objections, trust and churn to models. The skill asks which behavior you want to change and what blocks it, and advises applying the tactics ethically. Page, pricing and copy work belong to other skills.
