Open Code Review is a command-line tool and Claude Code plugin that reviews git changes and leaves comments on exact lines. It grew out of Alibaba's internal assistant: a deterministic engineering layer picks files, bundles related ones and matches review rules, while an LLM agent analyzes the changes, reads full files and searches the repository. Built-in rules for several languages cover issues like null pointer errors, thread safety, XSS and SQL injection. Install with npm install -g @alibaba-group/open-code-review, then run ocr config provider and ocr review; modes exist for a branch range, a single commit and a full scan with ocr scan. In delegation mode Claude Code itself does the review, so no API key is needed. It requires Git 2.41+ and, outside delegation, a configured LLM (OpenAI or Anthropic compatible). CI integration is available. Apache 2.0 license. Use it to check code before merging.
