Task specification generation with openspec

★ 6.6 · vibe-coding

openspec-propose is a Claude Code skill that generates a complete change proposal in one step — producing proposal.md (what and why), design.md (how), and tasks.md (implementation steps) from a plain description of what you want to build. It uses the openspec CLI: scaffolds the change directory with `openspec new change`, retrieves artifact build order via `openspec status --json`, then generates each file sequentially using instructions from `openspec instructions`. Dependency artifacts are read before creating subsequent ones, and progress is tracked with the TodoWrite tool. Ideal for developers who need to quickly formalize an idea before jumping into implementation — once all artifacts are ready, just run /opsx:apply.
