vellum-assistant is a Claude Code skill that sets up a personal AI assistant with eight distinct memory types — episodic, semantic, procedural, emotional, prospective, behavioral, narrative, and shared — each with its own staleness window, hybrid dense and sparse retrieval, and per-user channel isolation. During onboarding the assistant observes how you communicate and writes its own personality files (SOUL.md), while NOW.md serves as a scratchpad for active threads. Every hour it reviews open tasks and sends proactive notifications to the right channel without interrupting ongoing conversations. Supported channels include macOS, iOS, Web, Voice, Email, Telegram, Slack, and Twilio, with OAuth integrations for Notion, Google, HubSpot, Linear, Discord, and more. The CLI offers commands like `vellum hatch`, `wake`, `sleep`, and `upgrade`; deployment is available on the Vellum managed platform or fully self-hosted.
