ghgrab — скачивание файлов из Git без клонирования
★ 1.5K
ghgrab is an open-source Rust CLI tool for browsing and selectively downloading files from Git repositories without cloning the entire project. Reach for it when you need just one config, script, or example folder from someone else's repo and don't want to pull the full commit history; when you need to quickly grab a release binary from GitHub Releases matched to your OS and architecture; or when you work across GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, Gitea, or a self-hosted Forgejo instance. Under the hood it provides a ratatui-powered TUI with a repository file tree, fuzzy search, in-terminal source preview, and batch selection of multiple files and folders at once. It supports GitHub LFS, release artifact downloads with OS/architecture-aware selection and regex asset matching (`ghgrab rel user/repo`), and keyword-based repository discovery from the home screen (GitHub only). Install via Cargo (`cargo install ghgrab`), npm, pipx, Nix, or AUR. The direction is grabbing what you choose, not everything — for a full clone use git clone; unlike manual browser downloads it never leaves the terminal and works the same way across all supported forges. Repository search and release downloads are GitHub-only; all other browsing and download features work on every supported platform.
