AgentScope 2.0 is an open-source Python framework (Apache 2.0) for building and running agents that keep up with rising LLM capability: it leans on models' own reasoning and tool use rather than strict prompts and opinionated orchestration. Reach for it when you need an agent with tools, MCP servers and skills; when you need a team of agents where a leader delegates (TeamPipeline) or a fixed-logic pipeline (Pipeline); when you need a real-time voice agent on the DashScope, OpenAI, Gemini or xAI APIs; when you must connect remote agents over the A2A protocol; or when queries should be routed to different models (ModelRouterMiddleware). Inside: a ReAct loop, a Toolkit (Python tools, MCP, skills, built-in shell, file editing and search), models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DashScope, DeepSeek, Moonshot, xAI, Ollama and others, context management, an event system, permissions and human confirmation, middleware, long-term memory (ReMe, Mem0) and isolated execution (Docker, E2B, Daytona, Kubernetes and more). SOP and the realtime voice agent are marked experimental. Install with uv pip install agentscope; Python 3.11+ is required. The direction is code in Python, not a visual builder. Not for anyone who needs a no-code environment.
