OpenClaw — personal AI assistant in your chats

★ 390.8K

OpenClaw is an open-source AI assistant that runs on your own computer and answers in the channels you already use: Discord, iMessage, Slack, Teams, Telegram, WhatsApp and 20+ more, with native apps for macOS, iOS, Android, Windows and Linux. Reach for it when you want a personal assistant whose state, memory and credentials live on your hardware, when you want to talk to it straight from Telegram or Slack, or when a team needs a shared assistant on one Gateway. Inside: the Gateway is the local control plane for sessions, tools, events and channel connections, and the Control UI, CLI and TUI connect to it. Models and agent harnesses (Claude, Codex, local models) are swappable plugins. It needs Node.js 24.16+ or 26.1+; install with the curl or PowerShell script or `npm install -g openclaw@latest`, with Docker and Nix also supported. Your prompts still go to the model provider and chat platforms you configure; by default the project itself only makes a daily version check, and anonymous statistics are opt-in. Tools run on the host unless sandboxing is configured and inbound messages count as untrusted, so read the security guides before giving other people access. An independent foundation stewards it and there is no paid tier.
