Project NOMAD is an open-source tool for deploying a self-contained knowledge server that works without constant internet. Reach for it where there is no connectivity or it is unreliable but access to education and reference material is needed: remote settlements, field camps, ships, disaster zones, schools without a stable link. The server gathers offline copies of educational resources and encyclopaedias and serves them over a local network to any device — a local "internet of knowledge". It installs with one command on compact hardware. Its difference from online platforms is plain: it is built specifically to work in isolation from the network. It helps humanitarian projects, educational initiatives in hard-to-reach places, and anyone needing access to knowledge where internet is absent or may fail.
