Source-Grounded Research with NotebookLM

research

Source-Grounded Research with NotebookLM is a Claude Code skill that asks your Google NotebookLM notebooks questions and returns answers grounded in the sources you uploaded there. It helps when you need facts for an article drawn only from your own documents, want to learn what a notebook contains, or keep a library of notebooks by topic. Each question opens a headless Chrome session (through Patchright), reads the answer and closes; Google login is done once by hand. Commands are ask, discover, library (list, add, search, remove), setup, status and cleanup. After each answer it looks for gaps, asks follow-ups until the picture is complete, then combines the answers. Answers are grounded but not proof of truth: cite the underlying source, not the notebook. Needs a Google account, Python 3.11+ and Chrome; about 50 queries a day on a free account; documents are uploaded by hand; local Claude Code only.
