Session context search is a Claude Code skill that queries context-mode's persistent FTS5 knowledge base to retrieve previously indexed local project content, documentation, or session memory — without re-reading raw source files into the conversation context. Reach for it when you need to pinpoint a specific function or documentation fragment across a large codebase, when repeatedly loading files bloats the session context, or when you want to reference notes from earlier sessions without reloading everything from scratch.
