GAO Schedule Assessment — program schedule audit and analysis
★ 6.7 · automation
gao-schedule is a Claude Code skill that delivers a structured knowledge base from the GAO Schedule Assessment Guide (GAO-16-89G, 2015) for building, assessing, and auditing a program's integrated master schedule (IMS). It covers GAO's ten best practices of a reliable schedule — capturing all activities, sequencing, resource loading, durations, traceability, valid critical path, reasonable total float, schedule risk analysis (Monte Carlo), statusing, and baseline control — along with the four characteristics (comprehensive, well-constructed, credible, controlled) and CPM arithmetic (forward/backward pass, total float). Content is organized across chapters ch02–ch08 with supporting glossary.md, patterns.md, and cheatsheet.md files. Aimed at program managers, schedulers, and auditors who need to verify forecast date credibility or conduct a GAO-standard IMS audit — explicitly not a cost-estimating guide, agile framework, or risk-management reference.
