Resume Tailoring for Job Applications

Resume Polisher is a Claude Code skill that rewrites a resume for a specific target role — restructuring experience into quantified, results-oriented bullet points, aligning keywords with the job description, and delivering the final document as a Word file. Reach for it when you've been sending out applications with no callbacks; when you need to quickly tailor one resume to several roles with different requirements; when a recruiter asks for a resume with measurable achievements but your current one reads like a job list; or when you want to pass ATS keyword filters without stuffing. The skill runs in stages: first it diagnoses gaps between the current resume and the JD — what matches, what's missing, what strengths are buried. Then it rewrites every experience line using the "verb + action + quantified result" formula, strips out irrelevant content, and weaves in the JD's technical terms wherever real experience supports them. It builds the Word document using built-in document tools: one page, structured as contact details, three core strengths, reverse-chronological experience, then education and skills, with consistent formatting and white space.
