Tabby is an open-source terminal for Windows, macOS and Linux with built-in SSH, Telnet and serial clients. Reach for it when the stock console gets in the way: you want tabs and split panes, saved server connections, sane clipboard behaviour, themes and readable fonts. The difference is sharpest on Windows, where it brings PowerShell, WSL, Git-Bash, Cygwin, MSYS2 and plain CMD into one window and adds command completion. Server connections are kept as a list with keys and ports, so there is no recalling addresses each time. It replaces a terminal rather than an IDE: you do not write code in it, but everything done at a command line becomes easier.
