citation-management is a Claude Code skill that handles comprehensive citation management for academic research: searching OpenAlex, PubMed, and Google Scholar for papers, extracting accurate metadata from CrossRef, arXiv, and other sources, validating citations, and generating properly formatted BibTeX entries. It converts identifiers — DOI, PMID, PMCID, and arXiv ID — into complete bibliographic records, and performs mandatory web-search enrichment when APIs return incomplete metadata. Requires Python 3.9+ with the requests library and network access to api.openalex.org, api.crossref.org, eutils.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, export.arxiv.org, and api.datacite.org; Google Scholar search additionally needs the scholarly package.
