taskt (formerly sharpRPA) is a free, open-source RPA client for Windows built in C# on the .NET Framework: it lets you design process automation without writing application code. Reach for it when you are tired of copying data between Excel and web forms by hand and clicking through apps that have no API; when you want a digital workforce without paid enterprise RPA licences; or when a workflow is easier to assemble with the mouse than to program. Inside: a what-you-see-is-what-you-get bot designer with dozens of commands, an element and screen recorder that replays scripted automation, Excel workbook handling, starting and stopping processes, VB and PowerShell scripts, OCR (OneNote must be installed), use of your own .NET DLLs, and a Custom Code command that compiles code on the fly. No installer is needed: download the signed release, extract it to any folder and run taskt.exe. An optional tasktServer component (currently alpha) publishes tasks remotely and monitors bot health. Apache 2.0 licence, free for personal and commercial use. The tool simulates what a person does in the browser and on the desktop. Minimum: Windows 10/11 or Server 2019, .NET Framework 4.8, 1 GB RAM; Windows 7, 8.1 and Server 2012/2016 are no longer supported. Not for non-Windows environments.
